Umm..this might show up twice since I fucked up and submitted the wrong version.
So I'll try to remember what my description was...I was tired of reading about Michelangelo and crap (although Michelangelo was a really cool guy...I'd vote for him), so I decided to take a break. I felt like submitting something to DeviantArt, but I had nothing to submit. So I decided to recycle my old photo of St. Peter's Basilica, since I am still quite fond of it even though it's a couple of years old and it was taken with my old crap camera, and also since I just skipped the whole section on Saint Peter's Basilica in my text book and I needed my Basilica Education. The picture of the basilica in the text book is totally lame. And so anyway, I turned it into a black and white photo with Adobe.
Now I am going to mock the furries who think they have to brag to the world about how it took them a whole hour to create a piece of nonart on the computer--
TOTAL TIME: 0 HOURS, 0 MINUTES, 4 SECONDS
Whooooooooooooo!!! That makes me like way talented and means I put sooooo much effort into this work of art. I think it took even less time to take the picture. Fuck, I don't even remember taking this picture.
You know, I've been thinking of selling a select few prints. The reason why I haven't is because those who sell prints are completely intimidating. Sort of like how DeviantArt was before it was corrupted by furries and 12 year olds. Most of them are incredible artists and make me envious. But I don't know. Maybe...I have nothing to do anymore for spring break next week, so maybe then. I could certainly use a few extra bucks if some print junky comes across my gallery and wants to pay for one...
It still looks absolutely stunning. I kind of disagree with the guy who says you need to up the contrast--the softness in the sepia tone gives it an odd, surreal feeling that goes very well with that amazing lighting.
I am not sure if I like this or the original better. Still, it's probably the most awesome photo you've ever taken.
I added more contrast to see how it would look and even though it looks more artistic that way, it does indeed mess up the overall mood. So I'm just going to leave it. I'm only a fan of subtle changes anyway. Anything more than subtle is dishonest, unless the photo was taken specifically to change.
pretty. reminds me of The Order. haha. and hey, i've been browsing for a while, so yeah... anyways, if you can do this picture with an " old crap camera," then u must be... i dunno. good.
ciao ciao J<3

O__O scarily, it reminds me of a picture in my history text. [spasms] Lovely lighting, however, particularly from that window up there...^_^ recycle and save the world.
congrats on yr 4 seconds. a record maybe?
good exposure though, impressive lighting.
if you wanted to put MORE effort into it, i'd suggest a bump in contrast. but other than that, perfecto.
